GEK1049: ANALYSIS OF SUPERHEROES FILMS
Superheroes
films are one of the most enduring genres of cinematic narratives and the
success of these films in the box office is a testament to their increasing
popularity in the 21st century. The aim of this project is to
analyse the aspect of narratives that is featured commonly across superheroes
films in terms of settings, characters, plots and events. To do this, we focused our attentions on five different superheroes films, The Incredibles, Batman, Spiderman, Captain America and the Powerpuff Girls. The second part of this project will showcase an originally created interactive narrative that is based on the formulaic structure that features commonly in the genre of superheroes films.
